May 15, 2020 Statement from Bishop Quinn Regarding Mass

The dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass remains in effect until further notice.

Much thought has gone into how we can reopen our church in a safe way.  Due to the limitation of parishioners who can attend each mass and still keep our social distance, we will have  SIGN UP FOR ALL WEEKEND MASSES until further notice. This is key to keeping everyone safe and not going over our number limitations, so please spread the word on this.

DO NOT COME TO MASS IF YOU FEEL UNWELL, OR HAVE FELT UNWELL IN THE PAST 14 DAYS. Even if you think it is only allergies, you could potentially put the health of your fellow parishioners, volunteer staff, and priests at risk if you come to Mass and don’t abide by this regulation.  Please keep in mind people are not obligated to attend mass on Sundays during the pandemic.

Mass times for May 23rd & 24th are Saturday at 5:10 pm & 7:00 pm and Sunday at 10:00 am & 5:10 pm.    Please sign up using this link to Signup Genius or you may call the parish office at 725-3804.   We may have to adjust during the coming weeks and months and we thank you for your patience.  Please spread the word to parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc!

St. Olaf will have mass at 8:30 am on Sunday May 24th.

Social distancing must be followed with one person every three pews, couples and those in the same household can occupy one pew.  As further developments unfold we will continue to review and update through our website, Facebook, and in the church entryways.  Each family or individual person will be allowed to attend Mass once per week as the schedule allows.  As we see what the demand is this may be adjusted.  All attendees must sign up using the link above.  Anyone presenting themselves for admittance to Mass  without having utilized this process will not be granted access if the maximum number has already been reserved.

Father Stephen will be live-streaming mass every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on  the St. Mary's Caledonia Church and School Facebook page  The church will be closed for private prayers during mass times.

You can also find masses for viewing on the Diocese of Winona-Rochester website.

Parish Office to Reopen

The St. Mary's Parish office is now open with hours of 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday through Friday with some restrictions.  We can allow one person into the office at a time.  If you see one person is being served, kindly wait outside until that person comes out to help keep each other safe.   Scrip cards can still be brought to you outside as in prior weeks if you prefer.

During this time, if you have any emergencies or concerns during hours when the parish office is closed please contact Father Stephen 725-4408 or Sister Michaeline 725-5516.

The church doors will continue to be opened during the day for personal prayers.

Celebrating our graduates and all they have accomplished is important both for the students and all who have supported them.  Join Bishop Quinn in celebrating the Class of 2020 with the Diocese Baccalaureate Mass which was live-streamed from the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
